Key Responsibilities

Membership and Sponsorship Recruitment:

  • Actively identify, prospect, and recruit potential members and sponsors.
  • Present membership and sponsorship opportunities tailored to businesses’ unique needs.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed recruitment goals.

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the Chamber at ribbon cuttings, networking events, and community activities.
  • Strategize and execute initiatives to enhance member retention and satisfaction.

Event Logistics:

  • Support the planning and execution of Chamber events, including ribbon cuttings, networking gatherings, and community programs.
  • Coordinate event logistics, vendor relations, and on-site management to ensure success.

Administrative and Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, sales activities, and member data in the Chamber’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with Chamber staff to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, membership sales, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and comfortable with various technologies.
  • Background in sales, chambers of commerce, or community-building roles is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the local business community is a plus.
  • Must have own transportation - job is B2B sales focused with approx. 50% of your time spent in the community meeting with businesses.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $68,640
  • Commission: 30% commission on membership and sponsorship acquisitions.
  • Flexible Schedule: Hybrid position with flexibility in hours and occasional evenings/weekends for events.
  • Paid Time Off:
  • 12 paid holidays annually.
  • 2 paid floating holidays.
  • PTO starting at 5 days annually, increasing with tenure.
  • 6 paid sick days annually.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Paid monthly based on IRS regulations.
  • Equipment Provided: Chamber-provided phone and laptop to support your work.
